Scott Ray, JD

Chief Executive Officer

Scott is the founder of 6 Degrees Health and an experienced attorney, accountant, and business executive. He started his career as an accountant and lawyer for Arthur Andersen and KPMG. After leaving the traditional legal practice, he

dedicated his career to healthcare, devoting seven years as an SVP and General Counsel for a national transplant Centers of Excellence (COE) network. Today, he collaboratively leads 6 Degrees Health in pursuit of bringing creative and effective cost containment strategies to market.

Doug Hanson

Chief Operating Officer

Doug is an operations veteran with over 20 years of leadership experience. He has built a career accelerating growth and driving operational efficiency across a variety of companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, Grubhub, and VividSeats.

He brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, operations, and customer service. Doug’s unwavering focus on the customer while using data to make decisions has been vital to his success. 

Heath Potter, MBA

Chief Growth Officer

Heath has been involved in healthcare since 2004. As an industry expert, he actively participates in speaking engagements across the country. Prior to joining 6 Degrees Health, he led sales initiatives as Vice President of Sales & Development for a 

national Centers of Excellence (COE) network. In his role as Chief Growth Officer, Heath is responsible for all growth initiatives, business development, client relations, and strategic partnerships for 6 Degrees Health. Heath holds a business degree and an MBA from Washington State University, Carson College of Business. 

Katy Brant


Katy brings over 20 years of healthcare experience to 6 Degrees Health. She started
her career as a NICU nurse and transitioned to healthcare administration over
15 years ago. Katy is a strategic thinker with focus on company growth goals in
combination with employee satisfaction and streamlined processes. 

She Possess in-depth knowledge of healthcare billing, contracting and broad experience in provider negotiations with extensive understanding of commercial, Medicare and Medicaid payers, as well as third-party administrators, case management/utilization review companies, brokers, and reinsurers. Katy is passionate about healthcare and bringing balance into the Payer and Provider relationship.

Bonita Hatchett-Bodle

General Counsel

Bonita is an accomplished ERISA and benefits attorney with over 25 years of experience in a variety of settings, from a large international law firm to General Counsel for a leading independent employee benefits organization.

Bonita received her B.A. from the University of Michigan, her J.D. from the Rutgers Law School, and her LL.M. and Certificate in Employee Benefits Law from the Georgetown University Law Center.

Danielle Cole

Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO

Danielle started her career in Human Resources due to her curiosity for human motivation. She developed this into sales and negotiations roles where she used this passion to establish relationships with customers. In her current role as Chief of Staff, she will assist

the CEO with business objectives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization, combining her passion for business strategy and employee motivation. 

Tiago Gnanasekaran

Senior Vice President, Technology

Tiago is a healthcare technology leader with over 20 years of leadership experience in health care payor space in roadmap, delivery of business technology transformations. He has led globally dispersed product and technology teams. He led information

technology and application development, he led and successfully delivered transformational journeys across companies including Zelis, Luxotica, and Coventry (now Aetna).

Donald Lee

Vice President of Strategy & Underwriting

Donald started his healthcare career nearly two decades ago in the underwriting and actuarial field. Donald is an expert in healthcare risk financing and alternative risk strategies.  His underwriting, actuarial and broker experience

will take our understanding and integration with the risk financing market to the next level. He holds a degree in Mathematics, with an emphasis on Statistics and Computer Science. 

Amanda Pritchard

Vice President of Finance

Amanda is the Vice President of Finance and has oversight for all the company’s financial functions, including accounting, finance, treasury, tax, and investor relations. Amanda has extensive financial management experience, beginning her career as an auditor with Pricewaterhouse,

and then leading the financial and accounting teams in several private and public sectors companies across several industries, including CrowdStreet, Umpqua Bank, and Integra Telecom (Allstream). Amanda graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor and master’s degree in accounting.

Aly Hollewijn, SHRM-CP

Vice President of Provider Relations

Aly comes from an extensive background of working within the Healthcare Administration and Healthcare IT industries. She started her career in Executive HR Management roles. She helped create a self-funded benefit plan that catered to the employee 

population. Her first interaction with RBP was within the infancy of the reimbursement model in 2014. Through her experience implementing an RBP plan, she worked at a large TPA and helping create the RBP block of business and product. Along with her work experience, Aly sat on the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA) Board of Directors and was nominated to Chairwoman of the Self-Administered task force. Aly sat as a leader in the SPBA Transparency taskforce and participated in the official responses with CMS and DHHS to the Transparency in Healthcare Act. Through the unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Aly was also part of the task force that helped initiate the guidelines to the CARES act with CMS and DHHS—joining the SPBA. Aly studied Health Care Administration at George Fox University.

Christine Henderson

Senior Director of Medical Claims

Chris has worked in many areas of healthcare over the last 20+ years. She has many years of experience in process improvement based on data and audit-drive results, vendor relationships, and healthcare quality improvement programs within the medical clinic 

environment. Prior to joining 6 Degrees Health, Christine worked in revenue cycle management and operations throughout the healthcare industry.

Angie Allaire

Senior Director of Operations

Angie brings 20 years of operational experience across business, non-profit, and education sectors.  Her pursuit of operational excellence is matched by her passion for people development through accountability, communication, engagement, and potential.

Angie is fascinated with how leaders make decisions and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at Eastern University.  As a Ph.D. Candidate, she is conducting a quantitative dissertation research study on the predictive relationship between resilience and decision-making styles.

Andrea Ashley

Director of Marketing

Andrea has over 20 years of marketing and leadership experience across medical, financial, high technology, and SAAS industries.  She has built a career on bridging the gap between creativity and financial responsibility. 

Her passion for brand and marketing excellence drives her focus on developing cross-functional, supportive teams that advance the brand and growth of a company. Andrea holds a business, marketing degree and a graphic design degree from Pacific Lutheran University.

Will Slocum, IV

Vice President of Business Development

Will is an insurance industry veteran and a pioneer in the reference based pricing space. With decades of self-funding experience as a broker consultant, he is in a unique position to bring significant added value to 6 Degrees’ clients, as well as help

shape solutions for tomorrow. He will be working with new and existing clients to implement our core products: reference based pricing, transplant & specialty networks, and claim cost containment. Will is based in Louisiana and holds a degree from Louisiana State University at Shreveport. 

David Slepak

Vice President of Business Development

David’s mission is to play an active role in scaling strategies and solutions that fix our healthcare system. He mentors, collaborates, and strategizes with Advisors and consultants to implement these fixes including transparency, cost containment and 

increasing access to care. David is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and has taken on many leadership roles in his local Phoenix chapter, including recently as Chapter President. 

Jeff Diekema, CEBS

Vice President of Business Development

Jeff has been in the benefits industry for 30 years, in roles ranging from sales and sales/marketing management to Third Party Administration operations and product development. Before joining 6 Degrees Health, Jeff held positions

at a national Third-Party Administrator as VP, Underwriting & Sales Support, and VP, Sales. His experience is in self-funded and alternative funding arrangements with an emphasis on transparency and innovative payment and savings initiatives. Jeff will be responsible for leading business development opportunities and executing growth strategies to develop value partners. 

Eric Wright

Vice President of Business Development

Eric brings over 25 years of self-funding experience, a passion for TPA’s, transparency, service and follow through.  His experience includes executive leadership, sales, and an account management.  In addition he has held several advisory or board leadership roles with the State of Oklahoma Health Plan.

As our representative to TPAs, our clients can expect to have a partner that will listen to their needs and advise on solutions that will improve their business and help them to deliver cost savings to their clients.  

In his role, Eric will be able to draw upon his experience and bring our TPA clients a passionate and driven ally to win and retain valuable clients.

Doug Farquhar

Vice President of Business Development

Doug’s years of experience in the insurance industry includes tenures in both P&C and L&H underwriting, claims, risk management, IT and sales. He served as EVP Corporate Development for HST developing key company relationships and managing underwriting, marketing, sales and account management. 

As Executive Director for Soluta he had responsibility for EMR software development and oversight for onsite clinics. As CIO and VP of Business Development for AIG he helped grow their medical stop-loss division and developed the technology product MEDInnovation. Doug was a founder, board member and ran all insurance services for Applied Underwriters which was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway. Previously he spent a decade in a number of underwriting, risk management and claims roles for various P&C coverages. Doug was also the founder and CEO of Green Retail and Wholesale that operated a number of eCommerce sites and had a successful exit.

Doug received a degree in Political and Computer Sciences from Drew University, Madison NJ. He also holds the CLU designation from the American College and the CPCU, AIC, ARe, ARM and AU from the American Institute.

Chris Powers

Vice President of Business Development

Chris has years of experience in the employee benefits industry, providing employers with behavioral healthcare, disease management, and healthcare advocacy through their consultative partners.  He has a deep passion for transparency in healthcare, both for employers and employees. He is an 

active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters.


Previously, Chris worked for United Benefit Advisors
(UBA) as the Director of Partner Relations.  In that role, he aligned
UBA Partner Firms with the programs and services that helped them support their
clients and grow their firms. Chris joined 6 Degrees Health to help our consultant
partners bring healthcare cost containment solutions to their clients by
listening to, and understanding their unique needs.
