Heath Potter, MBA

Senior Vice President 

Heath has been involved in healthcare since 2004. As an industry expert, he actively participates in speaking engagements across the country. Prior to joining 6 Degrees Health, he led sales initiatives as Vice President of Sales & Development for a national Centers of Excellence (COE) network. In his role as Senior Vice President, Heath is responsible for all growth initiatives, business development, client relations, and strategic partnerships for 6 Degrees Health. Heath holds a business degree and an MBA from Washington State University, Carson College of Business.

Will Slocum

Vice President of Business Development

Will is an insurance industry veteran and a pioneer in the reference based pricing space. With decades of self-funding experience as a broker consultant he is in a unique position to bring significant added value to 6 Degrees’ clients, as well as help shape solutions for tomorrow. He will be working with new and existing clients to implement our core products: reference based pricing, transplant & specialty networks and claim cost containment. Will is based in Louisiana and holds a degree from Louisiana State University at Shreveport.

Neal Franzer

Vice President

Neal has ten years of experience as a Project and Operations Manager for Cardinal Health. He was the fourth employee at 6 Degrees Health, and currently oversees claim repricing and cost containment negotiations. Neal is also active throughout the business development process and with the implementation of new clients.

Jill Miller

Vice President 

Jill has over 15 years of healthcare experience in claims and managed care contracting. Prior to joining 6 Degrees Health, Jill worked in varying leadership positions at a national transplant Centers of Excellence network where she developed and implemented contracting strategies. At 6 Degrees, Jill’s primary responsibility is network development and contract negotiations.

Cindy Mathews, RN, BSN, CCM

Vice President of Clinical Programs

Cindy has more than 30 years of healthcare experience, including complex case management, clinical education, leadership, product development, and quality assurance.  Cindy’s significant experience working for numerous “Centers of Excellence Networks and at reinsurance/stop loss carriers gives her an invaluable perspective on catastrophic claim management.  Cindy’s mission is to create innovative solutions for clients and add value to existing 6 Degrees’ solutions. She will focus on the development of educational programs, clinical review processes, clinical quality metrics and initiatives.

 

Garrett Weldon, PT, DPT

Assistant Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

Garrett received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Utah. He has practiced in both the private and public setting treating a variety of patient impairments with a predominate focus in the musculoskeletal, nervous, and cardiovascular system. Garrett has traveled the country educating and training clinicians and outside entities on care delivery models and best practice guidelines for common disease states that are found within the population. He went on to lead a clinical team that built and oversaw care delivery programs in Assisted and Independent Living Facilities throughout the Western United States. He joins 6 Degrees Health to continue his focus on building care delivery programs with a specialized focus on the strategic partnerships between hospitals and employers.

Steven Gassert, JD

Assistant Vice President & General Counsel

Steven is an experienced attorney who has provided legal guidance for businesses throughout multiple industries. He thrives in finding creative solutions to complicated problems.  Steven works primarily to negotiate and review network contracts with providers to ensure that members have access to the health care they need.  He obtained his law degree from American University Washington College of Law and an MBA from Portland State University.  Prior to joining 6 Degrees, Steven practiced law in Washington, DC and Portland, Oregon.

Rob Ray

Vice President

Rob has spent over three decades in sales management in multiple industries. Over that time, he has managed regional and national territories responsible for millions of dollars in revenue. At 6 Degrees Health, Rob’s background is key in identifying business opportunities and making connections with new clients. Rob also provides a stable backbone to the business by coordinating finance, human resources, and process compliance.

Rob Archibald

Chief Technology Officer

Rob is a seasoned technology leader and entrepreneur. He began his career at Intel developing software and technology solutions for users throughout the world. He later served as Chief Technology Officer for EndFirst creating custom business software. Rob is passionate about building tools that delight customers and make life easier and more fun. He is thrilled to be at 6 Degrees Health building secure and reliable solutions for affordable, high-quality healthcare.

Scott Ray, JD

Chief Executive Officer

Scott is the founder of 6 Degrees Health and an experienced attorney, accountant, and business executive. He started his career as an accountant and lawyer for Arthur Andersen and KPMG. After leaving the traditional legal practice, he dedicated his career to healthcare, devoting seven years as an SVP and General Counsel for a national transplant Centers of Excellence (COE) network. Today, he collaboratively leads 6 Degrees Health in pursuit of bringing creative and effective cost containment strategies to market.
